Operation Steering CommitteeBased on the recommendations of the CASA Implementation Design Team, an Operations Steering Committee (OSC) was established in May 1998 to provide overall direction, track progress and make budgetary decisions regarding the implementation of the provincial monitoring network. Regular status reports are provided by the OSC to the CASA Board. Alberta Environment chairs the OSC with representation from Alberta Health and Wellness, Environment Canada, the oil and gas industry, the utilities sector, non-government environmental groups, and the airshed zones that have been endorsed by CASA, and the CASA Secretariat. Alberta Environment undertakes the day-to-day management and operations of the provincial monitoring network. As the system manager, Alberta Environment reports on activities and accomplishments towards the provincial monitoring plan at regular OSC meetings. For more information, see the Terms of Reference for the OSC. |
